Write down the units (mm, cm, m, km) measured by odometer, ruler, metre rule, tape measure, trundle wheel. Choose the correct device used to measure the length, height or distance given. Discuss the units used for distances like Sydney to London or Earth to Mars. Why wouldn’t these be measured in millimetres, centimetres or metres? Record the odometer reading of cars - compare. Measure shapes and compare.
